Letters during a tour in Europe, [1752?].

Apparently an unpublished manuscript containing Shebbeare's observations on France and the French. In the introduction, he claims to be the editor for a deceased author, just as in his Letters on the English nation he claimed to be only a translator for Batista Angeloni. The (otherwise blank) verso of leaf 2 contains the note: "This paper writing was shown to James Bettenham [and] John Palmer at the respective times of their examination taken in Chancery on the behalf of John Nourse against John Shebbeare de[fendan]t."

1 v. ([86] leaves) ; 34 cm.
